Chris Bordelon has served as a police officer with the Shreveport Police Department since 2010. During this time Bordelon served in the community oriented policing bureau and the investigations bureau. Bordelon also maintains a role as a member of the Shreveport Police special response team. Prior to joining the department, Bordelon achieved his bachelor's degree from Tulane University in 2007 while serving as a member of the Green Wave football team. Bordelon also obtained a master's degree from the university of New Orleans in 2009. Outside of police work, Chris Bordelon officiates high school and collegiate football. In 2019 Bordelon officiated the Louisiana high school 3A state championship game. Chris Bordelon is married to his wife, Chrysal, who is an elementary school teacher. Chris and Chrystal have one daughter, Raelynn. Chris also have a younger brother, Jeff, who also works for the Shreveport Police Department
